Kitten head specimen
Preserved kitten head with moonstone eyes.
this head belongs to a juvenile cat. She was less than a year old, and was source through roadkill. Her skull and jaw are completely cracked, and she has one ripped ear, visible in the last picture. Her eye sockets are stuffed with Polyfil to hold her glass eyes. I don’t usually add Polyfil when adding glass eyes, but I had to for this kitty since her eyes were so sunken.
Our wet specimens are originally preserved with Formalin to ensure a lifetime preservation. Your specimen lives in 70% isopropyl alcohol for long term storage and can be easily changed as needed
All of our wet specimens died naturally before being preserved. Many of our specimens come from rescues, fosters, roadkill, vet techs etc. Roadkill cats are checked for chip before preservation begins.
